I always love it when Brandon Pullan gets in touch, he's always so full of the joys of climbing, anything anytime and anywhere...and is a true mountain lover. Two shots of the 'big' day out - on top of Mt Garibaldi and a diagram of Grand wall.... So as our resident 'Kanook' sends us a quick missive about a great day out it's worth remembering that we don't just do this for numbers, miles minutes or ticks....but sometimes just cos it's there! "Just got back from Mt. Garibaldi (9000feet). We climbed up the NE Face route, great fun! This morning when we got back to town we ran a lap on the Grand Wall (5.11, A0) on the Chief to finish us off before going for a sleep.. It was a fun link up of the highest peak in the area and one of the most famous routes in Canada. I dont believe in all this 'link up' hype or 'time records' in climbing as I think they devalue peoples experience. However, when two fun routes such as a mountain first climbed in 1907 and amazing granite wall are climbed back to back it leaves one very happy and very tired! Both routes are extremly popular and are done numerous times a season."
